How to obtain GM part numbers?

I've been pricing parts for an auto-to-manual swap. There are many websites where you can enter a GM part number and you are given a price for the part. However, I can't seem to find any websites where you can put in your vehicle info and obtain GM part numbers.

Does anyone know if such a site exists?

I won't say that such a site doesn't exist but I've never found one. Best bet is to go to a large car dealer and see if they have a used microfiche machine. I bought one for 15 bucks.

Then for 10 to 20 bucks you can get the microfiche slides you need for your car. Most of this data is now on CD or intranet for the car dealers making the old microfiche system obsolete. But it works awesome for us.

Here is another option for you. Buy a 1982-91 Chevrolet F-body Parts & Illustration Catalog as I did on eBay. Mine is dated 9-90 and has a #17F on it. The sucker is so huge I had to put it in three 3-ring binders. Good luck, Lon.
