Dude that sales guy is does not know what he is talking about. It is perfectly fine to jackl up a car on a fours. But make sure you put your wheels under the car or another safety jack so that if in an accident the wheel will save you from being crushed and pinned under your vehicle. Make sure you jack it up in the apporiate locations.

thanks ... thats what i thought, now i have 2 go buy another set, sears only had 2 pr left... im assuming mismatch jack sets wont matter as long as the car is level at both ends....

Man my Brother and I have put a lot of cars up on all 4's. I did that to get the long tubes in on my Mustang. He restored an Iroc vert the same way and I did the same with a 4th gen Z28.
What we do, depending on the job is place both frnt stands under the A-Arms or on the frame right where the A-arms mount (as this is where the load of the car is usually absorbed) and on the rear axle as wide as we can.
That salesman is an idiot that has never done any real work on a car.

I also buy 2x8 or 2x10 wood, to help bring the jack or jackstands up higher.

By "safety bricks" I hope you mean jackstands? Bricks are the worst thing you can use to hold a car, it doesn't take much for them to split.
