Project '91 Formula
Here's my project!

Love the color! I am doing a resto-mod, keeping the outside and interior looking stock. The only thing giving away any mods will be the Superram once it sits on top of the 383/t-56 planned for the engine compartment. Right now the car is box stock with a 305tpi set-up and 5 speed. Got that running well, going to yank it, do the drivetrain, then the paint and interior.
Let the fun begin!!!

I did not think I would like that blue - Medium Maui Blue Metallic, so much! I'm going to get it repainted the exact same color.
Good luck on your search, it sure was hard to find this nice Formula!

At first glance it looks like the darker blue...
Here is the medium Maui Blue that I had, of course I suspect its the lighting that makes yours look darker.

I suspect the cloudy day in Santa Cruz made it look a bit darker, yes. What a nice example your blue Formula is there!!!!

It has been over a year since I checked the paint code, I'll check it again. Don't want to repaint the car the wrong color! Thanks for the heads-up. I did buy the PHS documentation for the car, well worth having BTW!

The color swatch when you get it repainted is called Maui Blue, The color swatch from Pontiac calls it "Silver Blue Metallic" Its color # 23 it was offered from 88 thru 91...
From looking at the picture the color she has is #98 "Bright Blue Metallic" Which was offered from 89 thru 91.

Sweet Aaron,
Mine ran like crap when I first got it - it needed all new injectors and the usual stuff you want to change, plugs, fuel filter, oil, oil filter, even the battery was bad! Also: Ignition cylinder (new keys) Repair window motor, headlight motor
Replace distributor, radiator & hoses, coolant temp switch.

These cars are fun to drive indeed! Get yourself some subframes so the car does not rattle or flex so much.

Aha! How about adjustable PHR, wonderbar (steering box support brace) and STB? The aftermarket is gooood to these cars to make them handle. Did you do the front end rebuild yet?

How many do you want?
I have about 25 of just the car, and 10 others where the car was with the other 2 cars I have...
The car still looks really good, Have you done any work to it?
Here are some of my favorites with the blue car in the pic...
Honestly the 2nd pic with the car in my driveway is not what I sould consider to be a great picture, but for some reason I like the pic...

I forgot about this thread.
Any pictures you have, I'll take, but don't go to a lot of trouble.
I've replaced the carpet and door panels and other interior stuff and a few little doohickeys here and there. Not really a whole lot conidering how logn I've had it. She's held up really well.

AWESOME. i cheered when i saw the ronals. perfect choice. ditch the side trim when u get it painted. Are you going to retain the formula decals? maybe you could fabricate some sort of FORMULA 383 decal. i think a 4th gen spoiler would look awesome too. has anyone ever seen a 91-92 formula with the 4th gen spoiler on it? i havent...
i love that color, cant wait to see pics of it finished. dont add ground effects to it!

Thank you for the compliments guys. I'm gonna get mine repainted the same color. I call it "faggy blue."
I was debating leaving the door trim off, but iunno, I don't like door dings. I already have the replacement decals from Phoenix Graphix. I always liked the way they looked. Not too gaudy, but not understated, either.
Stock Formula rims look really good when they are new and clean. They almost look platinum, but I found the brand new Ronals from their last manufacturing on ebay and bought them instead of getting the old wheels refinished.

I personally prefer the cars with the door bumpers, personally it adds a little character to the cars. Especially the 87+ Pontiacs and 88+ Camaros with the painted bumpers. Its like the Formula wheels I like those too...
I am strange I know.

The Formula wheels are a pain in the butt to keep clean, however, they do set the car off as a Formula - their looks grew on me as time went on.
