I'm 16 here ...my 91 Z has been with me since forever...I began working at my aunt's business at the farmer's market earning about 20 bucks a day on the weekends when I was 11 because my dad had given it to me to fix since it had sat in our driveway for about 2 yrs.


He told me that if I could get it running, it was mine. and so a long list of other jobs such as masonry worker and other labor intensive jobs on the weekends and on vacations. The struggle has been a long 5 yrs. to keep it running and Im now currently saving up some money to do an LSX/T56
swap. (I've gotten smarter about my jobs though; I now file income tax returns with a family friend and make a decent amount of cash )

Anyways I love Thirdgens and will help keep their spirit alive!

Im 37 as of earlier this month..
Ive had my 89 Formula since it was a year and a half old.. 9-10 motors now and Im having the 17th transmission built as this is being typed.
She has 235,000 miles on her but most people think its around 50-70K
I crank her up to atleast 100mph everytime I get her out.
She still tickels the 200mph mark with no sweat when I get a chance too.
Fun cars arnt they??????
Dont be salty about my speed habit, I know the right time and place to do it.

over 60 and i have had 7 camaro's. ok one was a fb, but it had a chevy motor - yes there was a difference and they even got a fine for putting the chevy engine in the fb.
i still have the 90 (number 6) i bought new. i bought all of them new. they used to be cheap so i would buy 2 at a time so the wife would have one too.
and i play with the 90 i bought for the wife, and intend to be burried in it when i die. lol

37 Bought my first car Dec. 11th, 1989. It was an '82 Firebird, I still have it and always will. (It's considerably nicer than it was then.) I currently have ten thirdgens that I intend to keep for awhile but there's always one coming or going. To date, I have owned 290 total. However, I'm sure that number will change by the weekend. I'm 40 and I got my first 3rd gen ( 85 z28 ) in 1984 at the age of 16 . It kind of snowballed from there with third gen cars 85z28 , 86 87 89 90 irocs and 2 89 gta's . I have also had an 80 & 81 z28 , a 78 4sp t/a , a 93 t/a , a 97 & 2000 ws6 t/a . I got out of thirdgens for a few years until I found my current 89 gta with 5.7 tpi and duel converters , my other 89 gta and 89 & 90 iroc were all duel converter cars which I don't see to often. My 89 iroc was very fast for a close to stock car , it run 13.8 at 100mph , which is the fastest 3rd gen I've owned.

Just turned 18 in October. I bought my 86' Firebird 3 years ago when I was 15. I have turned it into the Firebird S/E it once was into what the previous owner had intended to do which was transform it into a Trans Am. My next step is to swap in a 400 SBC and upgrade the suspension this winter to finish out the car.. atleast for now lol.

Just a hair shy of 50. Owned 1st gens for the last 32 years. Last year my son bought an 86Z for us (me) to restore. Since then we've added an 85 IROC that I plan to keep once we're done harvesting it for parts.

In 1982 I ordered a new Camaro sport coupe. There were delays in getting it so I ended up canceling the order and getting a Mazda. Always wanted a 3rd gen since I drove a friends IROC back in the 80's. Now that dream will come true.

I'm 20, My Camaros been with me all my life or what I remember of it. My dad brought her in 1991, 2nd owner. Over the years she got really worn out and started having problems. She sat for many year and then when I turned 16. I wanted that car, ask my dad we came to a agreement that if I fixed her up with my money then he would give me the title. I've done more then fix her up and lucky I got the title cause I think my dad is now having second thoughts.

i bought my current 86 iroc, 1-3-03, i got the car, trans, with stock 16" iroc wheels for 150 bucks. no rust, currently drive it every weekend.

Bought my first Camaro with the help of my parents 50/50, when I was 15 almost 16. Cost me 3Grand. 1985 Sport Coupe I still have it and drive it every day.

I had a 1989 Camaro RS with t-tops for about two days, bought it for 300 sold it for 500. Had a cracked frame, but the guy that bought it ended up totalling it anyways.

45 but look 35 (no kids) first car I ever drove in my life was my brothers 76 LT back in 78. Black velor interior 350 auto. That car was mint, fast and tight. I was hooked.

At 16 I bought a 77 LT 305 auto with vinal seats, car sucked, nothing like my brothers. Traded it in for a beautiful blue 1980 Z28 350 4 speed loaded. Major good times in that car. Lots and lots and lots of speeding tickets in that car. Lost my license for 5 years!!! Ouch! Wish I had pictures I could post. Guy waved me down coming out of a car wash and begged me to sell it to him. (Had fresh insurance settlement in pocket) In a moment of weakness I sold it to him.

My next one was a 1978 Z28. Always liked the curved dash and it had the newer back lights. It was a 350 4 speed as well. That car was mint and I sold it for $2500 back in 1996 as I was going to Phoenix to attend MMI. Biggest mistake of my life. Still kicking myself today.

In 98 I bought my first 3rd gen an 87 IROC Z 350 auto. This was a very fast car. However it had rust over the driver side rear wheel well and I just got sick of looking at it and I sold that for $2500.

Between all my camaro's I always had chevy single cab short box Z71 4x4 pickups. I aways just went back and forth between the 2 . Now I just have both. My newest camaro is my 91 Z28 convertible (always wanted a vert) we'll see how long this one lasts. lol

I'm 20..my baby is just a year younger than I...I bought it last week...All I had to do was set the timing and put it back together...it has 65,000 miles on it...i paid $$650..

its got a V6 but runs like a top...started up fine after a year of sitting and fuel injector cleaner..

fell in love with it the first time I laid eyes on it.

I've only ever dreamed of owning a 3rd gen Camaro.

Mine's an 89 RS. Auto. White. but will be black..

All stock for me..I plan on restoring it 100% and dropping a 350 in it..to just make the appeal all the better..I'll prolly sell it and hunt down an IROC in a decent condition.

age has nothing to do with resurrecting a classic muscle car.
