GT150 I'm not to far behind you at 46. My '83 Z is fairly close to all original with nothing done that couldn't be easily undone.

I'm getting up there too at 29. Bought the car last year and if it hadn't been wrecked I would probably keep it all original even though its only a V6. Friends of mine owned several Camaros(89, 85, and an 82) and 1 guy had an 89 Firebird years ago when we were all in high school but they have since all sold them, although one is looking around for another one.
27. Got my car when I turned 18. It was wrecked and nothing was original on it to start with so customizing and adapting was my direction of choice. 9 years later, it runs and looks better than it ever did, even though it's still in primer

Im just about to turn 23. Ive been driving an iroc since i was a senior in highschool. Im on my second one now.

Checking in like the original post at 51. So, that makes me kind of historical and at some point maybe in need of restoration.

Im 18 and bought my car a few days after my 17th bday.
I also try and make my car look stock, but a modified stock. I want my camaro to have all factory options that i want, even if it means adding them to the car.
And swapping out the 305 for a 350, yet making it look stock.

I am 16. My story:
Parents said if I wanted to drive at 16 I need to save up cause they weren't puttin a dime in. From 13 to 16 I saved up about 4 grand. Bought my first car (1955 Dodge C1) for 3 grand. Had a change of thought on restoring it then sold it for 3500. Then I found my beloved 1991 White RS. Paid 1500 for it. Then found a blue one for 2500. So right now I am one of the luckiest 16 year olds to own 2 3rd gens. But Unfortunately I will be selling the white one soon. My dad seems interested. :O Lol.

Bought my first thirdgen in 1997 (a black 1988 GTA with grey cloth, LB9 automatic, digital dash, and t-tops). Wrecked it and a white/tan 1988 GTA L98 car in 1998 before finding my red 1989, which I hope to have to the grave

45 years old here! Like all the other geezers (my82roc, JamesC, GTA50) and lets not even mention - UNCLE TOM -!! (You're my hero)......
I too like to keep my car as original as possible....
It did originally have a 400, blower, headers and a 9" rear.... right??
- And just to add insult to injury, I'm not lowering it and puttin louvers on the rear window!

22 years young and just got my camaro about 4 months ago! Keeping the stock 25th anniversary look with a new paint job in the spring and then going to be working on a 350 build for underneath the hood.

24. Had the Camaro since I was 18. Had an engine fire within 3 weeks of owning, so I started my 406 SB2 project. Never really does run "right."

I just turned 57 yesterday, and I've done everything I can to keep my 92 Z/28 as original as I could since I purchased it in 2003. It has the original 305 TPI motor and 5-speed manual transmission. it even has the original AM/FM/Cassette radio and it works!
The only thing I did change was the color of the Z/28 emblems. They were gold but I changed them to red so they match the original "Brilliant Red" paint job I had done.
However, medical issues have slowly prevented me from driving the car, and I didn't even put 150 miles on it this year. Now, it's for sale.

WOW, alot of respones in a short period of time. Just goes to show you age has no bearing when a common interest is shared. Thats why I love this web site.

28, got my car when I was 17. Kept almost everything stock and daily drove it for most of the 11 years. Currently it's sitting though.
I'm 27. I've had my '84 T/A since I was 17 and its my first car. I still use it as a daily driver. The car is stock although I've added a few factory options that it wasn't originally ordered with.

I'm 16 and have a 1992 Rs.Its Currently been torn down for paint, interior totally replaced and the engine goes soon enough for another low mileage one. I Don't like the idea of modding a car so its getting no hi-po parts, but is getting an iroc-z hood/louvers.
Heh all the kids At my high school drive Rice bags with beer cans and I'm the only one with the v8

for making it to every meetBTW 25 y/o got my Camaro at 18, as a play toy/car I had wanted for a while, keeping it close to all original with a few mods.....has to stay all matching vins and all most of my mods are engine/drivetrain/suspension other than that I want it stock looking

34... I'm on my 7th 3rd gen firebird now. I have always preferred stock looking exterior and interior, with super upgraded engine and drivetrain. What can I say? When I was reading Car Craft as a teenager in the 80's, everything was Black Trans Ams or Pro Street!
I still love the humongous hood birds of the 70's on the third gen bird. It's the only non stock exterior part that I just love...

Lets see I'm 34, this is my 9th 3rd gen, I've owned one from every generation of the camaro. I spent some time rebuilding and modifying a v6 mustang (Roots blowers are SOO much fun) sold that for about 3 times what I had in it, and bought the basket case camaro I'm currently building an engine for. I like this site because although there is the odd annoying youngster now and then, Its mostly posted on in an adult manner. I'm incredibly impressed, with all the push for the sport compact aspect of vehicular performance we have as many mid/late teens and early 20's as we do.

Before that, I bought my 79 T/A back in 1982.
Still have them both, and forever will have.

My 1984 TA has been in the family since 1990. Before Dad blew the motor in 2002 (I was 15) he told me I was the only reason he was keeping it (I was willing to do the work). The car was taken off the road in '02 and I've been working on it between school and everything else since 2003. Sadly, Dad will never see it run again. He passed on Oct 20 this year. Only thing left to do is finish it. For the record I am 22. And the car is pretty much original except for the block, heads and intake manifold.
