Re: Ebay... $275,000 IROC-Z
It's a very, very nice low mileage car, but it's not worth that much money. Maybe 100k, given the people and bands who have signed it. Pretty cool that out of all the cars that could have been chosen in '85 for this event, the all new (then) Iroc-z Camaro got picked! Go MTV!!!
.... lets test this question, would you pay that much for that car, or would you rather buy a new ZR1 and invest the difference? I think that Iroc-Z does have some incredible history to it, but I'd rather roll in a ZR1 for less than half of the money he's asking, as opposed to just staring at that thing sitting in the garage.

The Live Aid concert was a big deal back when it happened...Not like Woodstock mind you but there were comparisons made with all the celebs coming together...That IROC is a nice car & with 700 miles on the odom she is worth more than what some would allow...But it will never sell for that money.......Oh, wait...put it on BJ where a 4th gen V6 just went for $17k......

Not to mention the fact that the '88 'ROC he sold in November was just as sweet without all the BS benefit crap and sold for $18k

If I remember right, that was also when they did hands across america. Only reason I remember was I was driving back to Blytheville AFB and listened on all radio stations for 14 hours from va to ar. I was driving a 1972 newport, 864 miles in 11 hours.

I don't care what it is. NO Third Gen is worth that much. I would rather spend the money on this rolling hulk:

At least the seller has the sense not to have BJ auction it off. BTW, what would ebay's cut be if it sold for that much?
NOW I'll shut up.

Saw this thing earlier. Not much reason to own that car, except to resell it ... for huge a loss.
