Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

Pics show what an original looks like, great documentation, I asked the seller for the RPO sheet also. Around 1600 85 H.O.'s made, one of the few left with AS5 Recaro buckets. Not a true Recaro Edition but still Im not going to say anything to the seller Different exhaust and Im not seeing the HO decal.

The guy has a super collection of birds, glad to see this 85 was one of them, although he is selling to make room, he just needs to learn how to park better to fit more!

Re: Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

Very, very nice. This is an example of a third gen that will bring a half decent price in the future. Has all the required ingedients:

Optional V8 engine, manual transmission, T top, optional upgraded interior, low mileage, well cared for.

I look at used cars I can't buy every day. Doesn't happen to often, but this one really turns my crank. I predict the buyer will be very happy.

Upon closer inspection, that Ziebart on the strut towers looks like crap. Hopefully some type of solvent can wipe it off. Still a nice car that's worth cleaning that up.

I'm thinking LG4 here....8th digit in the VIN is "H", clutch fan shroud in engine pic.....it's got the right aircleaner, though. Even so, still a gorgeous car; wish I had the space for it.

Agreed. 8th digit of the VIN being H is the LG4. The L69 used the G code.

Wow I should have ran the vin before I asked for the RPO. The snorkels threw me off but the K&N style lid should have thrown a flag

Sucks it's not an L69, but still a very nice car. Love the seats and the 5-speed.

I see Red Flags here!!!A dealer would never Ziebart the struts in the area shown,

[QUOTE]Agreed. 8th digit of the VIN being H is the LG4. The L69 used the G code.
and a questionable engine

Re: Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

He says it is a HO - and never mentions L69 in the ad. He could just be ignorant as to what options the car had. Someone should contact him and see what he says.
As far as the the undercoating, I have seen sloppy crap like that before on this site.
It is a shame such a highly optioned car came with the worst V8.

Re: Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

I have never seen under coating done like that in a new car from a dealer!!
I agree about the listing of the engine, their pushing it as a high performance engine, maybe that's why the decals are missing!!!!

I'm curious as to what the title's description of the engine is; i've seen a couple of other LG4 '85's having the "5.0 HO" printed on the title, or it shows up on a carfax; a friend of mine who was a member here once has one of them. Maybe a similar anomaly to some of the base Firebirds that have a title that says "Firebird/Formula" and the owner automatically assumes it's a Formula, even when without the equipment that would make it so.

Re: Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

The seller said that no place in the auction it is being listed as an HO. I told him he was wrong, as he may have checked off the wrong box in the select o matic format of ebay.

Re: Clean Low Mile WS6 L69

I had to scrape undercoating off the plastic inner fender liners. I guess the dealer was afraid they might rust.

At a dealership, undercoating is applied generously by the most junior apprentice. He might even spray that stuff on the brake rotors.
