Factory or nice owner?
When removing my center console, I found writing , with a black magic marker, on the inside of the armrest cover. Written by the latch opening was "chip#13". I am thinking this is the VATS resistor number for my key.
1.) is that correct? Is it the VATS resistor number of the key?
2.) Is this a factory placed marking ?

Re: Factory or nice owner?
More likely put there by previous owner or mechanic. We did the same with radio codes on the cars at the shop I used to work at.
