Re: 1,640 MILE 1986 IROC-Z
Is a 1986 peanut cam, 305 with TTops, intermittent wipers and air as the only real options, worth $35k? This is what's been seen recently on BaT and the collectors are buying them based on miles only. This car doesn't have 4 wheel discs, G92, power windows, power locks, nothing. I hope the seller gets their asking price.

DEFINITELY. The only exception on BAT that I've seen is the super low optioned IROC-Z convertible with the gold 15" wheels. That car had no miles and didn't bring crap-o-la

The low optioned cars don't do anything for me either. If I was buying a car for the specific reason to tuck it away and not drive it for 30 years, I would load it up with every option I could get, but that's just me. A lot of time though, these cars have a story that they weren't purchased with the intent to be stored. But, after being purchased, some circumstance happened and the car just sat untouched for whatever reason.
Cool car nonetheless.
