Is a 1986 peanut cam, 305 with TTops, intermittent wipers and air as the only real options, worth $35k? This is what's been seen recently on BaT and the collectors are buying them based on miles only. This car doesn't have 4 wheel discs, G92, power windows, power locks, nothing. I hope the seller gets their asking price.

on BAT this cars probably mid twenties . seems your right on the collectors wanting one thing and thats no miles . they dont seem to care about options cause there not going to drive it .

DEFINITELY. The only exception on BAT that I've seen is the super low optioned IROC-Z convertible with the gold 15" wheels. That car had no miles and didn't bring crap-o-la

These no option cars with low miles make me laugh.

Has there been any low mileage fully loaded 3rd gen camaros in the last 2 years that sold?

Yes, the recent 440 mile 1989 Iroc that sold on BAT for $55K was well optioned. Also the 344 mile 1989 Iroc that sold at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2 years ago for mid $30's was also well optioned. And there are others.

The low optioned cars don't do anything for me either. If I was buying a car for the specific reason to tuck it away and not drive it for 30 years, I would load it up with every option I could get, but that's just me. A lot of time though, these cars have a story that they weren't purchased with the intent to be stored. But, after being purchased, some circumstance happened and the car just sat untouched for whatever reason.

Cool car nonetheless.
