Re: Cool 85 TA with Recaro

Noticed the window sticker, which is 2 pages, doesn't list AS5 (Recaro seats) despite it was an option. The RPO is listed on the metal radiator tag. To me, the car looks like it may have had some paint work as some of the ground effects don't match and that would explain the missing engine id. Though the front and rear bumpers didn't get that work despite they needed it, if so.

Not picking the car apart but are some observations. It's nice. To me, the earlier ThirdGens have more character with these types of options that would later get dropped.

Re: Cool 85 TA with Recaro

Here's my '86 TA ... one of 915 AS5 optioned Firebirds. LB9 / 700R4, 9 bolt, 3.23 gears, 4 wheel disc, factory Recaro option, T-tops, all stock except for a Flowmaster cat-back. Always wanted this car in high school but couldn't afford an $18k new car (plus insurance) while working part-time at a grocery store. 20 years later, I drove my teen high school dream car home from an owner in North Carolina.
