Possibly more of an OK deal for both?
It's not very well equipped with no leather appointment (steering wheel or shifter ****), the base non-deluxe door panels, had the L03 engine, possibly some paint and/or body work since it has the hood bird despite it was not an option, and the high mileage.
So it's not a good example that commands a premium. It's more for someone that wants to have one for fun without spending a lot of money or needing a lot of work right off the bat. Assuming there isn't anything major.

This is why I felt it was a good buy. You don't see many of these conditioned cars around much any more, regardless of milage.

I think it's a decent buy. Ton of miles, but appears to be well-maintained. And prices on used cars these days all seem pretty crazy. I've been shopping recently and have been kind of shocked at what dealers are asking for some cars.
I've sold two third gens, one with more mileage than this one, and one with just a bit less. They weren't as old (8 years and 20 years), but both were in great shape and, right up until the time that I sold them, I'd take long weekend road trips. The guys who bought them both got good cars that they didn't need to be afraid of stranding them.

That is a nice car for the money IMO, barring any major problems but just goes to show there are a few deals out there still. I would ditch the wood panel trim and enjoy that car as a fun weekend/nice weather cruiser. This is also another example of the Firebird discount on the third gens.
