PMD seat upholstery (Camel)

Hi, I have a PMD bucket seat upholstery set in camel color located in central Arkansas. They are still brand new in the box with the pliers and hog rings. Please keep in mind this set is only the bucket seats, not the rear. I will be posting pics soon. Any takers?

True! I don't think camel was used on the PMD seats. Parella cloth, often referred as camel tan was on the 1982 cars with PMD seats.

Re: PMD seat upholstery (Camel)

yes you are correct these seat covers arent stock colors thats why. the camels got a darker more orangey tone to it. a guy makes the reproduction parella but to me its too brown not enough of that yellowy orange tone

Re: PMD seat upholstery (Camel)

Yeah it does have sort of an orangey appearance to it, in certain light it has a gold-ish highlight to it. I didn't do my homework and was told that it was the correct color for a KR conversion and I wasn't happy with it. Even if it doesn't sell on here, I'll post pics of the set just for fun. I paid $400 for the set but I'm asking $300, but I'll entertain any reasonable offers.

The face I make when I see them inside a KITT car conversion. It's not easy to buy a product you don't see the exact accurate color. I think they're still good for any Firebird or Pontiac 6000 and Grand Prix if they're not being restored to their factory look. But that's only my opinion.

A gentleman by the name of Joe Huth (author of The Knight Rider Legacy: The Unofficial Guide to the Knight Rider Universe, Knight Rider: 30 Years of a Lone Crusader and His Talking Car,along with other specialized KNIGHT RIDER books and also co-running the Knight Rider Historians website) sold and is maybe still selling the reproduction Parella cloth used by GM in 1981 for the 1982 Firebird.

More info here: http://parella.weebly.com/store/c1/F..._Products.html

I saw some pictures and they look really nice but still not 100% like the real deal. It can also depend of the light and camera quality and flash

Re: PMD seat upholstery (Camel)

They got mad at me cause i said the fabric was too brown. I told them it needed a more yellowish orange hue to it

Re: PMD seat upholstery (Camel)

How did someone's FOR SALE thread become a discussion thread?
