hes right it isnt but the answer is yes unless your trying to run a blower or go to alot of shows because a high polished carb looks much better then tpi otherwise keep your tpi its better thats why it was invented.

...what? A polished TPI will draw way more looks than a boring carberator... and it ISN'T way better, the TPI is quite anemic when it comes to making power. Looks cool though.

tpi has a bunch of advantages thats why it was invented. of coarse u can run a bigger air cleaner on the carb but if you wanna race then i suggest tpi because im a major fan of boost. its much harder to turbo a carb because of how a carb works. also there is less tuning for a tpi just take it to a dyno shop and tune it,if your carb isnt tuned right you'll kill your mpg. As for looks it really is an opinion i prefer a high polished carb with a polished aircleaner.
If you really dont know about tuning a carb then stick with your tpi because its more user friendly to anyone that isnt a "gear head". a lot of things are controlled by computer in a tpi so when something goes wrong you can figure it out much quicker with a diagnostic scanner, with the carb again you need to really know what your doing.

it really is an opinion question. both sides have good and bad features so you just have to research how they work and know what you want to do with your car in order to make your own decision.
