first off i searched.

But Last year when i removed my headliner board, i broke all the clips(most of them) and Im pretty sure I ruined the back of the A piller that holds clips in place. I was just wondering How I can fix this, ghetto rig some thing that looks nice(not sloppy) or where I can buy all new clips. I also need to know what glue is the best, ive heard bad things about super77 yet everyone says to get that

Your best bet is to visit the JY's and remove as many clips as you can and get another set of pillars while your at it. I don't think those clips are made any longer, I had a bunch but I just sold my entire lot last week. You can also make a post I am sure someone has those lying around for next to nothing.

I got some new A-Pillar clips off of Ebay. There is someone on there has has fasteners for all types of GM cars, can't remember the name, but I'm sure you can find them on there.

Damn, i guess the Clips wouldnt be that bad, but getting new A pillars is going to blow, considering I now need a full set of interior plastics and A pillers verses just plastics, ahh the price you pay for a perfect interior

nice a pillars are common i have all kinds of them, but the damn clips are no good, i broke i think every one of them on my 82 today

You know what guys, it just dawned on me, I bet a majority of headliners install with the same clips. Those clips can't be third gen specific, try the dealer or a upholstery shop. And like Randy stated, nice pillers are not hard to come by.

Its not that their going to be hard to find, its more like Im cheap/poor.

Been there done that, that's why I suggested the bone yard, try all the headliners from newer cars to get good clips.

if you want a quick fix and you are going to buy new a pillars eventually i used epoxy and its working pretty well. the set time is kinda long for most but just set some clamps on it with a nice pad along your roof so you dont damage you car. the 5 minute works for a little while (3 months) until it got to around 10 degrees but its not made for hard plastic and metal so it doesnt bond right. right now i have a 5000 psi epoxy that im doing to mine when i get my car back from the shop and that should keep those a pillars on for a long time even if i hang on them but itll cause a nice problem when i do my custom headliner in two months

For the record, a-pillar clips are Auveco #16865, but I'm not sure about the headliner clips. You can buy Auveco parts from The Clip Link for a great price, but they have a $25 min. order.

for the clips just go to the help isle in pepboys and you can find a variety of types clips for just a few dollars... i paid like $4 for 16 of em

as for the a-pillar, you could try fiberglassing it or just use the fiberglass resin for stiffin the area that the clips go into
