rear hatch switch operation???
Didn't quite know where to put this.
The switch in the console for the rear hatch pop, Is it supposed to work all the time or only when the ignition is off? Mine only works with the ignition switch off. I thought I remembered it working with the engine running before, but could be wrong.

No it only works when the ignition is off. It's a safety feature. See how the window buttons are near that? If you werent paying attention, you could accidentally pop the hatch when trying to lower the windows while cruising on the highway or something.

It works with the parking brake on in a standard, or the transmission in park in an automatic.

Re: rear hatch switch operation???
OK, thanks. The parking brake is why I remember it popping while running. And to think, I have always been real cautious of the switch while driving.
I guess I get a little slack since I have only had the car 8 months or so and it is my first vehicle with power features, it is actually my first car! Always had trucks!
Thanks again.
BTW, I am on other truck and 4x4 boards and this board is by far the most helpful.
