Frankenstein Model Swap

By Frankenstein, I mean that I'm morphing a Berlinetta into a Z28. What kind of interior modifications do I have to do? I have a newer Z28 guage setup that fits, and I'm working on getting a newer console (the existing 82 console is HIDEOUS, and I mean random holes drilled in). Anyone tell me what I have to do besides rip off the hideous Berlinetta tag on the passenger side?

Thanks in advance!

Gee.

Re: Frankenstein Model Swap

For just the appearance, you'll probably need the proper ground effects and maybe hood, nose, grid tail lights... Depends on the year and model you're going for. Will need the dash emblem, bumper and side skirt emblems, wheels, and any appropriate decals, (IROC door decal, for instance) It ultimately comes down to what you're trying to clone.

After the appearance mods, I'd hope you'll also want to get new springs and bushings, bigger swaybars and posi rear. Bonus points for a wonderbar and rear discs. Then your Berl will be worthy of its new clothes.

Oh, and it'd better not have a V6.

EDIT: Sorry dude, I just read that you were specifically asking about interior mods. Anyway, above still applies...

Dont buy a cat and want it to bark. If a Berletta to you is hideous, it would proably be chaeper to sell it and buy what you want. Third gen are still reasonable, but dont wait too long. The third gen articles are starting to hit.
