Well cheap is good if it works. I went with some stuff off ebay not sure of the brand it was in the $30-40 range but it worked and it was cheap.

If it works it works the hatch does not leak anymore.

Its the doors/t-tops i wouldnt cheap out on though.

Re: hatch weaterstripping...

I was worried about how long it would last. I don't want to have to replace it in a couple of years. That's what I meant by cheap. I put GM on the passenger door...ouch.

Check into soffseal. Eckler's Camaro sells the rear hatch for $30. I will be replacing all weatherstripping soon myself.

Awesome. Would you mind posting it or PMing it to me? I'd really prefer to get a GM (if it's not like $200, lol)

Re: hatch weaterstripping...

Having bought the GM part 2-3 years ago (at $65), and currently being someone who sells Metro weatherstripping, I can say the only difference I see between the two for this seal is that the dealer part is sealed together at the end (aftermarket is not) and the price (metro's usually goes for 1/2-1/3 of the cost depending on the vendor). I know people can be picky with aftermarket vs original, but from the stuff i've used and sold (also did the t-tops aftermarket), i have been happy with some of the more well made (metro, soffseal) aftermarket stuff, but I suppose I may be viewed as slightly biased.
