Does anyone know how to release/remove the shift ball on an automatic tranny? Im trying to remove the console so I can replace the ebrake but cant seem to figure out how to disengage the ball.

Put the lever ALL THE WAY BACK, into 1st gear. Look at the front of the shift ****, down low.
There is a slot in the handle. In there, there is a small c-clip. Use a SMALL flat-bladed screwdriver to slip under it, in the slot, and pry it out.

then dont forget once you have this done to push the top button all the way down while pulling out the small clip in the center of it and rotating it to free the clip, button and spring. then pull the **** off.
