Switch Panel??
Alright, I've spent the last two hours trying to figure this out (tonight alone) and I'm confused so I'll just ask it. What is that switch panel under the steering column on the left side? I have a 1990 Trans Am. Am I supposed to have that? What are those controlling? Also, what all is the panel between the radio/hvac controls and the center vents supposed to control. Previous owners really f#(%ed this car up and I don't have the heart to let it get destroyed.

Re: Switch Panel??
I found this on the board and circled the switches in yellow. Didn't the half of the 90 Trans Ams and Camaros get a somewhat redesigned interior, or was it just the 91 Camaro? So many of these cars don't remain stock it's hard to tell. I know that the switches under the center vents controlled the remote hatch, fog lights, rear defroster, and premium sound system, depending on which options you had. I'm just trying to learn more about the panel on the left side.

Re: Switch Panel??
I thought that switch was on the left. Does Anyone have pics of just what the 90 TA interior is supposed to look like?

Re: Switch Panel??
a 90 Firebird/Trans Am should have the same dash layout as a 91-92.
Along with it the 90-92 cars also came with an airbag steering wheel, there are 3 locations on the car that there will be air bag sensor, 1 under the center console, 1 directly behind the front bumper cover (can be seen from under the hood) and I forget where the 3rd is at the moment, I can check on the work computer when I get back on Monday.
Yours looks like it is from a 85-89 car. Either your car is a 89, or someone swapped in a 85-89 dash layout, The map pocket also looks to be from an earlier car as well, as the 90-92 cars pretty much had only one style.

Re: Switch Panel??
IIRC from my 87 T/A the ones on the left were for fog lights and the ones on the right were for rear defrost.

Re: Switch Panel??
The left ones are the fog light switches, the ones on the right are The subwoofer gain for the U7 performance sound option, and the rear defrosters.
