I thought I would share what I've been doing to my 91 bird for the last month or so. Here are the plans:
Replace the worn carpet with a good used one.
Add a headliner, the old one was hanging and removed a few years ago.
Replace the worn steering wheel with a good one with radio controls from a 92 SSEi.
Install leather seats from a 95 Trans Am.
Here is how the interior looked prior to starting.
New headliner from YearOne is in. I had to flip the dome light to cover a hole in the headliner. I left about 1/8" around the hole template but the overall fit is just ok. The fit around the visors is not good.
Looks REALLY good. Those seats are my favorite and wish I could afford to put some in my beachwood interior.
Yours was alot like mine before the work, bad carpet, no headliner, and not the best steering wheel. my carpet I'm just gonna cover up with some good mats, but where did you buy the headliner from, and what did it cost you?
Looks like you still need a passenger door cup holder lol.

Thanks. I got the headliner from YearOne about 2 years ago. I had a 20% off coupon so it ended up costing around 200. The color match is great but the fit is just ok. I have the cupholder, it broke off and I need to reattach the mounting tabs.

Your car came out great.

Would you recommend YearOne? I was looking at classic industries..
They seem to have good prices but i haven't done my research yet.
We offer a kit that includes all of those pieces for your Firebird. Here's a link to it on 1aauto.com if you would like to check it out.
i used carpet from summit.. it was the biggest PITA to install.. but your car came out great.. i switched from iroc cloth seats to those trans am seat minus that wierd hear rest thing that i dont know that is.. and there sooo damn great
Your passenger side floor appears to be dented upwards, between the front and rear seats, am I correct?
i think it's supposed to be like that... i just took the carpet outta my camaro and was thinking to myself that looked like a dent, but after seeing this post, i feel better
i love that there flywheel you have hanging in the garage. great year round garage decoration if you ask me :P great looking bird though, does the steering controls work?
Looks good. Change those "manual" door panels and it will be close to perfect.

The steering wheel controls work. I had to use the new clockspring for that. The cd player I have accepts these controls at pin 13 and the later style ones found on 95-02 F-bodies at pin 14.
Total cost was just over 600, with the headliner and seats being most of it. The seats were from a 1995 Trans Am. Bonneville parts tend to be cheap and easier to find than F-body parts sometimes. Making the seat harness saved me about 50. I had planned to use a 4th gen steering column that was prewired for the steering wheel controls. Running the wire from the new clockspring was easy though.
I have the cupholders but the tabs broke. They will be reattached once I get a chance.
That flexplate on the wall is from my first motor. I made it into a clock a while back.
Hey man the car looks great! the door panels look like crap though. I redone my panels on my own which you can do also. Go to walmart or anywhere that sells automotive carpet. buy the color you want then take your old panels off, strip the carpeting/etc off of the cardboard backing support, save the cardboard as thats your template and you will reuse it. place the new carpet over it, cut the shape of the carpet once you place it on the cardboard to match the cardboard but make it an extra 2 inches in length all the way around. fold the extra back in the otherside of the cardboard and hotglue it in place, then cut out the holes you would need for the handels and etc.. replace the arm rest and plastics and you are good to go. what you can do also like i did is, the plastic inner door handle cup, drill a hole on the top part underneath, and install an LED light to each door plastic cup and connect it to your dash lights and you can install a switch also so it wont be on with the lights if u dont want it to.
You need new carpet and door panel carpet. Other than that it looks great, I'm not really into stock replacement parts used as aftermarkets like the seats and wheel but its all you. Any chance new carpet and door panels coming?
-Take care

do you have an issue with the drivers door arm rest hitting the side of the drivers seat when shut? i just put 98 camaro seats in my formula and when i shut the door the arm rest rests against the seat... they look wider but i dont have this issue with the passenger side...
i put a set into my camaro but the door dont hit. i did notice that you only have one tube - i bought an oem connector and it has dual lines - one for lumbar and one for the side adjustments. is everything working?
very nice job.
