how to make console shiney again?
i have my console out since im changing the carpet.is there something i can do to it to make the plastic look less faded?

While I had my console out, I "Professionally" reconditioned it using DIY.
I stripped the whole thing down, gave it a wash with some tri-sodium phosphate then rinsed it off with the garden hose. I then sprayed the whole thing in Krylon Fusion SATIN black spraypaint and adhered some carpet to the sides. Once back in the car I hit it with some meguiars and presto no more faded console. You can't even tell it was painted.
