Steering Column

Hey guys. I just replaced my steering column with a used stock column. It was simple enough.
Take the 2 plastic pieces off under the column.
Then you have the 2 nuts right under those plastics holding the column up.
Then you have the 3 on the firewall. these where a little uncumffy to get to.
Then the one bolt holding the column to he steering arm under the hood. I hit that with PB Blaster first.
Once it was unbolted, I held the other column right next to it and as I unplugged the wires, i plugged them into the new column.
I slid the old one all the way out, and the new one in. My wife helped get it in the steering arm under the hood. This is a one person job up until that point.
I loosley fit the 2 nuts first and then the 3 bolts on the firewall. Then, tightened it all up and done. very straight forward. Anyone have any questions please feel free. I did have a question. There was a plastic piece to the left of the column it had a rubber house attached to it. WTH is that for?
