Adding A/C to my 87 Camaro LS1/T56
So I decided to add A/C back to my car over the winter among other things.
Basically I'm looking for the best way to go about it with my current setup.
I have a 4th gen Camaro dash swap and currently NO hvac system in the car. Need some input on wiring as all the A/C wires are de-pinned from the pcm so I will be basically starting from scratch.
My questions:
What tubular K-member will work with the LS1 A/C compressor?
Should I find a 4th gen hvac unit or use a 3rd gen?
How do I go about wiring it?
What parts am I going to need? (I have a list already...compressor, condenser...the big stuff)
What I want in the final outcome.
All vents to work.
Cold A/C
If possible, full use of the 4th gen controls.
Open to any suggestions.
Thanks.

Pa Racing has a k member that clears the stock ls1 compressor and they are not too expensive. You can find it on paracing.com. I cant help you much on the wiring since I am using the entire 4th gen wiring harness and fuse boxes. There is lots of info on here just start searching. Good luck!

That K-member looks like its the ticket, thanks.
If anyone has a 4th gen hvac box, lines, compressor, condenser, evaporator, 99 Camaro dash ducting, tensioner with bracket, and control panel, with all wiring and vac lines sitting around i'll take them off your hands.
Also will V6 compressors and tensioners work on a LS1?
