TH350 & Wiring
Hey,
Working on getting parts for my LS1 swap and I have a freshly rebuilt TH350 sitting in an 81 firebird doing nothing.
How will the TH350 effect the swap as far as wiring and hookups for the shifter go?
Also, is it necessary to send off your PCM and Wiring harness to Hawks or Speartech to get it reworked?
Thanks,
Mike

Im running a th-350 and the only thing is you have to use a 4l80 flywheel or a flywheel adapter from tci. There is no wiring unless you have a lockup th-350 that came in some gen 2 and gen 3 f-bodies and even with that it is just the lockup that needs to be wired

Oh ok,
The tranny is in an 81 firebird with not even 50 miles on a fresh rebuild so seems only logical to use it since we are not using the firebird.

I have an 02 6ltr out of a 3/4 ton which i believe has the 4l80. I held a tci 4000 for a th350 up to it and only one bolt hole worked, and it was a small one on the flat surface. Does anyone think i could mark and drill 2 more?

dont drill any holes, it will kill the balance, IMO.
shouldnt have a problem with it tho.
are there 2 sets(6 total) holes on your flywheel?

Also make sure that the 350 Turbo is a multi bolt hole model and not just a B-O-P version which has a different bolt pattern than the Chevy/GMC ones.
