LS1 Power?
What kind of power are these motors making with stock internals? I am thinking of doing the swap but was just wondering how good the stock internals were. Do the heads have any issues with flow or do you need to do some work to them? I am wanting to go with a forced induction setup in the end.

Re: LS1 Power?
Stock what?
No one's going to put a blower on and leave the rest stock.
You'd be running like 6psi.
Stock bottom end has gone 9's
Stock heads will do over 400rwhp NA like falling off a log.
Why you'd leave it stock is beyond me.
Stock high compression+blower over 6psi=retarded
BTW I see your in IL. Buy my LS1 pull

Re: LS1 Power?
I wasn't going to leave it stock. I was just wondering what the stock internals would handle. Didn't know if i had to change the whole bottom end or can the crank handle some decent horse power. I planned on getting different pistons and rods. Regarding the heads I haven't heard alot about them but I haven't really done alot of research on them either. Do they flow decent or are they junk. I would think they would be ok but didn't know how good.
I will be in the market for a swap here in a couple of months but now right this minute.

Re: LS1 Power?
Stock internals can handle up to 550hp n/a.
Many guys throw 150shots at them and as long as its calibrated correctly, they take it like a champ.
Carcraft made 76X hp on a stock 6.0L shortblock.
Think most Stock LS1 shortblock FI are good for about 800rwhp.

Re: LS1 Power?
The stock bottom end can do about 900 hp.
The top end is good for 500- 600 hp, and this is coming from experiance.
Depending on the tune, Tuner, engine, condition, milage. ect ect.

Re: LS1 Power?
I went to a chassis dyno with a guy who had a Auto T/A with a stock LS1 and a rear mount turbo and made 470 hp/ 530 ft lbs with 6 lbs of boost.
