i recently bought a new LS2 motor for my 87 z28 . i rebuilt my 700r 3 months ago so i want to use it. TCI make a flex plate to suite does anyone know if there is another option? I have no wiring harness or ecu i am thinking of going with a haltech ecu i'm on my own with this one

With my swap (referenced above) - the external vss setup had to be removed due to clearance with the aftermarket torque arm (UMI). This leaves the MUCH lower resolution vss from the 700r4. I'm still not sure this is going to work out... we'll see here in a few days I hope. This coupled with everything else that needs to be done (and done right) to make the 700r4 work how you want it - I'd recommend selling your rebuilt tranny and finding a 4l60e or similar.
