Soooooo.....are we never going to find out what it made for power? I feel like your ignoring whenever someone asks about what it put down. The vids look ok, but without numbers, it could be a 300HP car...
Looked like you had a stock pulley on it and since that eaton comes on a 5.4 stock I'm assuming it's losing quite a bit of boost being on a 6.0 now and going through a front mount intercooler. Not trying to be that guy, but I'm just very curious to see what it made since this is a rather uncommon setup. If you don't want to list it, you can PM me, but I don't know what there would be to hide.

Put down 405/430 at 6psi
Ive got a major boost leak some where, but until I dig up the desire to tear it back apart, this is how it sits. It should be 13-15psi with that pulley combo and the enormous FMIC keeps the IATs about 10* over ambient. Its got ALOT more in her, just not really looking to get it out just yet. Im all over the road as is, I cant imagine driving this thing at full power just yet

Amen man! Seriously I have sceen cars with high numbers that run like complete garbage. It is easy to tune the last row of the Ve table.
It is the overall power under the curve and the tractibility.
I was going to stick up for pocket and say he only finished days ago it seems like, but I guess he has been to the rollers. I wish people would quit asking me about the rollers. I finshed literally 24 hours ago and the rollers are over 50 miles away.

My brother's old 2007 supercharged GT made 405 RWHP in a stick car and was a good bit heavier than your car and he managed a 12.3 @ 111 mph on MT ET streets...could have gone faster with a better 60 though. Even at that power you should be in the 11's with a good tire and a nice launch....and a car thats probably 300 lbs lighter.

Damn, the deceleration wine is obnoxious. Otherwise, congrats man, sure you are glad to have it this far.
I just did a 4.8 swap in my 94 GMC with a carb, but we are also doing a EFI 6.0 swap in a 98 Silverado, so i will have some wiring questions to PM you in the near future Pocket, so just a heads up, LOL.

I picked up a LS9 idler pulley because it was cheaper than anything else, but sadly its 3.5" diameter is too big to fit the system. Ill have to order more diesel parts. Thankfully, Dayco has their catalog online and I dont have to be a dealer to browse. Makes finding good PNs alot easier. Hint hint Gates... Goodyear...
Next step is mock-up using some acrylic. Easier to cut than alum and more accurate than wood. Cant beat free

Tires will always spin when pushed beyond their bounds regardless of whats in front of them. "Shocking" them is almost a surefire smoke show. You side-stepping the clutch at 4k is about the same as me going WOT from a stop. The tires just cant handle all that tq in either case
-10 lines should be ample. I dont recall any setup running larger. FYI, Im running 3/8" line, which are ~ -6 and havent pushed any seals yet. As the engine wears I probably WILL have to upgrade to handle all the blow-by, but for now I dont see any benefit for the high cost of larger fittings

New2chevy, superchargers don't really "kick in" to give the car a sudden power increase. They have a very linear power curve which is the plus side of a supercharger. They will make boost off idle to redline but the graph should look similiar to an N/A car with the exception of the torque curve (torque will be very high as opposed to N/A off idle).
Turbo's give the "kick in" effect that you speak off. Once they reach full spool at whatever RPM they achieve that at, they suddenly bring the motor to life so theoretically you could go from 300 HP to 600 HP at 2800 RPM or so while your on the gas. Thats when the tires go from gripping to breaking loose. As far as a -10 breather, that should be plenty, and then some.
And pocket, can't wait to see this thing at full boost level! Your making me jealous with your CAD program.

I ordered diesel idlers from amazon of all places. Good for text books and car parts it seems
Finally got some free time to work on the bird so I built some plates using acrylic. Will have to use a flat headed bolt on the tensioner due to lack of clearance. I didnt have one so a clamp holds it in place for the pic. Tensioner has significantly more throw with this setup so replacing the belt shouldnt be such a chore like the old one was. The plate not being there gives a little more work room too
Clearing the waterpump and waterneck turned out to be the biggest obstacles
Better view of the diesel parts. Left is steel, right plastic
Looking over a few of the pulleys I used at various times for my supercharged adventures. Idler on the far right is from a ZR1, darn thing weighs more than the steel diesel part to its left. Didnt use because the 3.5" diameter was too big to fit
Old plates vs new ones. Not quite as bulky
Basic routing. Loose idler up top represents the SC pulley
Not sure if I want to use these on this build or save them for the next. LS3 topped 6.0 with a T56 should be a fun little NA car
Hope to burn out the plates on the CNC router at work soon

If its wrapping around a pulley, not much, maybe .050"
If its in a long stretch between two pulleys, quite a bit, .5-1"
When its near something solid mounted like a pulley, it doesnt vibrate much because the block dampens it. The longer the distance, the more it acts like a guitar string, esp under load

Got the engine buttoned back up and dropped it in. Starting to look like a car again
Not sure if I posted it, but this is what happened to the last engine. Melted #7
Block and head were perfect, so a new piston and its back in business

Not really sure what came first, the hotspot melting through or the top ring butting blowing the bottom of the piston out, but it sure demolished that piston
