G8 headers

I am looking at these g8 headers, because i am going to do a ls3 swap in a few months. I would like to stay with shorty headers to stay some what legal. here is a pic of the g8 headers. they are 1 7/8 with a 3 inch collector. I imagine they would out flow the manifolds by a good amount. Anybody think these headers would work?

Re: G8 headers

Depending on the price, that would be sick if they fit.

Re: G8 headers

I know the G8 doesn't benefit very much from shorties. The weird 90 deg pup cat is a bad restriction at the manifold. The $/HP ratio isn't there to justify shorties either.

It would be nice if they fit (or hawks redesigned their skid tube headers) because it would at least give us another option... Which is where I think you're coming from.

not to hijack but I thought the hawks cleared just as much as the hookers? I had a set of hookers and i have to say they honestly didn't hang any lower than the factory y-pipe well they hung lower on ave. but as far as the lowest spot the factory y was lower on our cars.. so if the hawks really aren't any lower than why are they skids? just asking
