Re: need help

I'm no expert on the L92's but I'll throw in my two cents. The general consensus is they respond really well to smallish cam's. That's where these heads shine in making large power while retaining drivability. The intake ports and valves are huge, so too much duration and intake lift with a lot of overlap is going to cause bad reversion and really isn't needed. Oddly alot of the off the shelf grind, small cam's seem to favor lift on the intake. I don't speculate this is necessary and feel more exhaust lift would be more beneficial. I would like to see some dyno comparisons to confirm this though.
There is a huge post over on LS1 tech debating cam profiles that I gathered a little solid info from, along with a lot of peak number, dyno queen bs that seems to be popular over on tech.
Ultimately it comes down to your needs, wants and intended application.
I chose the overlooked Katech Torquer LS3. Seems to hold great vacuum and make great broad power while having a nice mild lope still. Also doesn't have a very agressive lobe profile so it might help the springs live easier. Ultimately it looks like a great, livable daily driver street cam. If I was building a drag car however that's going to primarily be tuned to operate within a narrow power band, that choice would be completely different.

Re: need help

have you already bought the intake? if its just a stock 6.0 and L92 heads, it may be a bit overkill. i've got a similar setup and opted to stick with the ls3 intake to save some coin (that 102 seems to be better for biiiiiiiiig cube swaps).
