Ltx 700r4 kickdown woes

Ok, I just got my tpi kickdown. The problem is, I don't think it is long enough. I'm talking about total length not the need for adjustment. And I mean like a foot short. Please advise.

Buy the Lokar one that is adjustable for the 700r4. You can get the throttle cable and bracket too. Costly, but worth it if yours is too short.

Ok, I measured it to be like 4" short. I just bought a tpi cable because another post said it would work. I don't mind spending for the lokar, but that is why I asked in the other thread first. Spending extra $$$ once again. One step forward, two steps back.

Re: Ltx 700r4 kickdown woes

You need to make sure you got the right cable. I pulled one from a TPI/700r4 junkyard car for my swap myself. Sorry I don't have a part number, but it was about a foot longer than the stock TBI/700r4 cable that my truck came with and has been working perfectly.

That's what I did too. Took me 2 tries, but got one that works.
