Bad bellhousing from D&D? PICS*
Hi guys, I just received my LS bell house for my conversion a few days ago and I opened it up last night too look at it and now its possibly going back. Look at the pics tell me what you think, would you use this? Its supposed to be brand new from Tremec. In the 1st 2 pics you can clearly see a hole in the casting.

That is by far the worse aluminum casting I have seen in a while. Terrible quality control too on the manufacturers part as well as the vendor selling it. Send it back

This conversion is starting to get on my nerves, its bad enough how expensive parts are then I get junk like this, Tick sent me the wrong bearings for the input shaft......maybe Hawks can get my headers right? D&D better take this bell house back that's all I gotta say......ugh more waiting

Stick with the swap...trust me, its totally worth it once you get it all together and the bugs worked out.

As Unstableaviator said the collector is right up against the frame rail but can easily be fixed. Heres a pic of mine with V bands on it

stick with the swap trust me it SOOOOOOOOO worth it and you wont be disappointed at all. It did the same thing to me as all the crap added up but its part of the game in swapping one of these in
Send that junk back as that rediculous that they would even let that off the line and into a box. I guess it was done on a friday of a long weekend by a guy half in the bag on a case of beer. Thats all I can say. A hole in it are you ****in serious how can you miss that

Re: Bad bellhousing from D&D? PICS*
Little update, I talked to Don at D&D today. He was surprised to hear of a bad bell house, said they've never had one sent back, they buy them in bulk from Tremec whose plant is 9 miles from them. He immediately offered to take it back and send me a new one
happy me!! He also is taking mine to QC manager at Tremec for a meeting about it. Love the way D&D handled this and special thanks to Don!! Happy customer!!
