Vats or not?
I swapped a 94 lt1 into my car. It ran when I first started it today. Only the second time it ran. It ran for 5-10 mins until I turned it off. New headers were smoking a lot from burning off paint. After that I kept starting it and it cut off after 2-3 seconds.
My question is IF it it VATS, why did it run the first time. I did have the battery out to recharge overnight, could have something to do with it.

If it ran for 5-10 min I dont see how it could be VATS. Id check your fuel pressure and spark first. Did you have VATS tuned out?..

Not sure, haven't tuned it yet. I was wondering how it ran myself. Could disconnecting the battery have disabled the VATS for a minute? BTW, the choke light comes on when it dies.
