LT1 swap into 89 IROC harness issues
So I ran into some problems. History: I wired in a resistor to bypass VATS years ago and also had PCMforless tune VATS out of the LT1 (95 Z28). I also swapped in a T56 years ago so the wiring for that is setup without any computer function needed. I got the engine in, everything hooked up through the C100 connector, no need for my factory C207 inside since I have the under hood fuse panel from the 95, so those plugs are just left hanging under the dash. Fuel pump will be run with a hidden manual switch as a theft deterrent so it doesn't need to work off the ECM. The problem is I have no power at the neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal so no crank however I have constant power going into the car. I had to move the car so I put power to the fuel pump, key on for coil and injector power, jumped the starter and it fired right up. Do I need something with the C207 to complete a circuit? I've been trying to figure this out looking at diagrams and I'm clueless. Any help is appreciated!!

Re: LT1 swap into 89 IROC harness issues
My memory is a little rusty but when I did my swap I am pretty sure that the neutral safety switch wire was in one of the interior harness plugs that ended below the passenger dash. So the fact that you didn't do anything with those connectors is likely your issue. My car was an auto swap so I had to wire up TCC as well which I think was on the same connector as the NSS.

If you removed the VATS you have to ground one of the wires off the crank relay to have the NSS work.

Thanks Scooter, I missed that part of Pockets additional swap thread. I just wanted to reply that I did just that and it started right up!
