Bit confused.Trans location

Keep getting conflicting info.

To use my original drive shaft do i need to change the trans crossmember?I keep reading the 4l60e is the same exact length. But i don't know if thhat means the ls 4l60e.

If there is a difference between 6 bolt tailhouseing 4l60e and the 700r4 and or the 4 bolt tail 4l60e,how much difference?

Re: Bit confused.Trans location

The overall length is about the same. The 4l60 trans mount is located a little further back than the 700r4 mount so you'll need a swap crossmember or modify your factory crossmember.
