I'm gathering parts for my 0411 pcm swap on my 91 Camaro 350 TPI and was wondering if it's mandatory to have 2 H02's or can I get away with just one. I have Dyno Don headers and do I have to put the H02 (for the passenger side) in the header or can I drill a hole in the exhaust pipe just under the header? The driver side already has the hole for the H02 sensor.

Whether or not it's "possible," I'd use two O2s.

I always thought it was a colossally stupid idea for GM to put the 02 sensor on ONE bank, and not the Y-pipe. You could have a really bad intake gasket leak on one side, and potentially not know it with that setup.

Just weld in another bung and call it a day.

It's easier than all the work you're about to do, I can tell you that.

Weld the bung on on header side or the y pipe side?

You'll want data from both banks. Helps you diagnose fueling and spark easier than if its a blended signal. There are also tuning tools to compare sides. Put a second bung on the opposite side, before the Y-pipe.

I will do that. One on the driver side and one on passenger side. The truck I pulled the harness and pcm off had two HO2s on each side.
