isnt that a 86? bc if im correct 86 was the only year with the 3rd brake light on the glass
Its an 87. I though it was an 86 at first too, but I read up and some of the lesser option sport coupes and some of the earlier 87 production ones had the hatch light like his.
Re: My first car! 1987 camaro! suggestions please!
i got a question about my exhaust, i got the Hedman shorty headers with hedman Y-Pipe no cat and a flowmaster 40 series and its still too darn quiet! I loved the sound of it when i was running it with the muffler off but my dad made me put a muffler on there because it was to loud for the neighbors. So I gotta keep the muffler on but what else can i do to make it louder. Like a cutout(after the Y-pipe or maybe before the muffler somewhere), glasspack, or something else $50 or cheaper. Please let me know! Thanks!

hey, nice car, i have the same one, 87 iroc, 305 ho, it used to be white, looked good, and these things never look bad in blue, i have a set of irocs that i have on it now, im thinking of putting some ralley wheels on it, i also have a set of 15" rs rims if youd like those sooner, but p m me with what youd like to spend on a set of irocs, with tires, they are new tires, beefy in the back, lower profile in the back, but id sell them with our without the tires, and the 15" rs has new fronts and junk back tires, same profile set up, just let me know

I love theese cars! God how I love them you cant replace them you can try but a 3rd gen is a 3rd gen and to me that is worth gold. my advice to you is dont rush to fast. Enjoy it dont beat it love it and will last you generations and dont let any one or thing keep you from her even if you get another you cant replace your first.
Re: My first car! 1987 camaro! suggestions please!
Well its been a long time since I've posted but heres whats new. My tranny is almost completely shelled out, and my engine isnt running as strong as it used to. So i found a 355 with a turbo 400 tranny with 45,000 miles on rebuild. its a pre '87 with a RV cam. And the trannys got a shift kit. So even if i dont end up getting this one im going to get a 350 and a new tranny.

Im also looking to put some IROC-Z rims on it too (( if some one is selling thiers please let me know!!)). So its a work in progress but tell me what you think so far. Also let me know what else would look cool on it or in it.
