Nice ride BlackSunshine. Is it just me or is it the paint or is she riding a bit on the tall side?
Either way, still nice and clean.

nice, middle pic is defently the winner, keep it like that! I'm guessing the others were some weird experiment? I love that blue color. Lope that car is beautiful! I hope you keep it looking exactly like that, defently a nice example of a well maintained car!
Sweet ride, don't get to see the black and gold Z very often. I'd love to see some interior shots. We might as well keep this thread going since there doesn't seem to be that many clean 82-84 camaros getting posted up.
Nice ride, I'm in the market for a set of rims. I can't deceide if I want to go with rims that are painted to match the car, kind of NASCAR style, or a set of those aftermarket IROC chrome rims.
Here's a picture of my motor. No matter how hard I try to get it clean it always looks like crap. I would love to pull out all of the hoses and just drop in a ZZ4 and be done with it.

Yea, I put that pic up in another thread think it was about HID's. I got those headlights from ebay, I think from prostreetgraphics. The recessed turn signals make for a good ram air that I used to use.
The blue is from 4 LED's in each housing, and I have a switch just for them. So with just the housing lights it looks like:
The thing behind my plate area is an intercooler:

No..lol..that was before the 4th gen TA mirrors and Hawks 5" spoiler like in the side pics. As you can see it is now a "work in progress". As soon as I get it back to drivable condition again I plan to get back to finishing up the few body modifications I am making and get some fresh paint on it. The blue is 11 years old at this point and I am looking to lay a different color on her soon...
You need the housings which basically replace the sealed beam, and 9003(aka H4) bulbs. The terminals in the plugs need to be repositioned also. Depending on the housings, you may or may not need to trim the tabs off the headlight buckets but plan on doing this.

I have a set of stock Z28 wheels. For some reason, I can't talk myself into putting them back on the car. I think with the white letters, the black wheels look good with the black car.
That link I posted has the housing and bulbs like you need for the swap, but if you're looking to do the HID bulbs also you'll be looking at another $100- $180 more.
Lopedawg, lookin good. Have you done anything to it yet? Or keepin in stock?
Keeping it stock for sure. The only thing I replaced was the stereo.
I tried talking myself out of it for some time but I just have to have my Ipod. I didn't even have a tape deck so I ended up throwing an Alpine in there that is dedicated to Ipod/Mp3 users.
Other than that I WILL stay stock.
Here's a quick pic of the interior. No tape as you can see.
Here's the new radio. I know it looks so out of place but it sounds great and I control the Ipod straight from the head unit.

Thank you. I have a big place in my heart for customs and performance mods but I have no plans to do anything to the Camaro. Maybe with time I can save some cash for an inexpensive project car and mod that.

she's at stock height, but does sit a little high i guess. still handles really well for a car its age.
Prob just me then, still a very nice Camaro there.
Same goes for the other Camaros that were posted. Nice to see the well kept early Maros. Now how about some interior pics so that we can keep this thing going.

Great pics Everyone.
I've got a 1982 Z and was trying to locate a front bumper cover. I need the lower valiance as well. Everyone's seems to have a perfect nose and valiance...can you let me know where you got it? I truly cannot locate one anywhere. Everyone is saying they are discontinued and not being made. I find this hard to believe, but the search is driving me insane. Any help with phone numbers, web sites, any info would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that the 82-84 front piece was never made aftermarket. All of the pieces you could buy at one time were extra collision pieces that GM made. Once those were gone that was it. I bought mine from "The Paddock" a parts catalogein 2005. When I ordered it they said it was the last one they had. They do, however, make 85 and up restoration fronts. I have seen a bunch of them at my local Pick-N-Pull yard. There must be something like that where you live. If not, post an add in the "Parts Wanted" section of this site. Someone will get back to you.

I've got an Alpine head unit that runs my I-Pod. Is there a way to scroll through the I-Pod while it's plugged into the car?
By the way. Hello everyone I'm new to the board and owned an 84 TA in high school and recently started on another one. I'm looking forward to getting some good advice and ideas.
Beautiful cars guys! I had the opportunity to purchase a black and gold all origional garaged 83z several years ago for $2,000 but didn't have the money at the time. I went back a week later with the cash in hand (the guy lives around the corner from me) only to be told he got tired of having it around and sold it to some kid for $500! Needless to say I was pissed. It has 70k on the origional crossfire 305 and ran and looked almost perfect.. the factory paint even looked good still.. I'm still upset about that one.. I wish the guy would have told me he planned to give it away for 500, I saw it about a year ago all beat to hell and smashed up.. very upsetting. End rant.
i got mine from my dads friend it had been sitting in his driveways for two years and only had 60,000 miles i got him down to 2,500 dollars and bought it the next day and have been in love with it ever since.it only has 61,984 miles on it now.
That is a super clean interior. I love looking for the tell-tale signs of an H.O. car, like the tach that starts to redline at 5000 instead of 4500.

I purchased a stock AM/FM cassette deck on Ebay that has a 3.5 jack soldered to the amp. I can plug anything into it like my ipod, mp3, portable CD player and my satellite radio but keeps the stock appearance.

Welcome to the site. In my case I CANNOT operate the Ipod while is plugged to the Alpine. I got the high speed cable from Alpine (KCE 422i) and that allows you to scroll trough your playlists just as fast as the Ipod does.

Eventually I'll get one of those and transfer the Alpine into my Firebird. I did get the wiring harness so my stock radio will plug right back in.

Blackandgold69 you have a beautiful car in and out. It allways amazes me how people are able to preserve light colored interiors such as yours. I have light gray in my 07 Tahoe and it looks like its 20 yrs old. You can thank my two daughters and winter for that.
