My 84 Camaro

Hello to Everyone in TGO.
I have this 84 Camaro that i got for my 17 birthday from my father. When i got the car it was a wreck to me. Some parts of the camaro had shiny paint and other parts it had faited or cracked paint. When i got a job i was able to get my camaro new tires and a so so paint job. Over time i started doing some things to it to improve my camaro looks. Recently i have all my windows tinted and i think it looks okay.
What do you guys think?
Also i am planning of finishing my car of completely entering next year 2010
And the VW Bug in the shot next to my camaro is a project i am also working on.

Hey guys
Thanks for the comments.
And yeah I got the front bumper from a 92 camaro that I use to have. I am trying to give my camaro a 92 look like my first car I had and hopefully finish it for next year.

I wish my IROC looked that good. Just lose the IROC-Z sticker on the rear window, and you have a very nice looking 'maro indeed!

Re: My 84 Camaro

Thanks Guys for the comments. I wish i could of post bigger picture like others do but dont know how to.
Right now i am thinking of removing the white paint from the wheel and leaving them gray. Also was thinking of painting them factory style black but someone told me that it wont work at all.
By april of 2010 i will have enough to replace the 305 to a 350 again and replace the trans for a newly rebuild one and others things as well.
I will post a forum of my progress of the engine work later on when i will have the work done so others can see.
Also on the iroc sticker it was given to me by a friend, she thought it would make others think i have a Iroc
Will be updating as soon as i can

Making my 84 camaro z28 handle

I want to make my 84 Camaro Z28 handle on the track and launch at the 1/4 mile and my plan is to get,

• Rear Control Arms
• Panhard Bar
• Strut Tower Brace
• Subframe Connectors
• Sway Bars
• Torque Arm
• Shocks
• Springs
• Complete polyurethane bushing kit

But the problem I’m having is deciding on what manufactures/companies to use, and I don’t what the Camaro to sit much lower than the stock height
Can any one help?

Nice car also love the bug as I am a big time VW guy. I think you should either get a '91/'92 bumper and side vailances or get rid of the '91/'92 front bumper because the lower vailance looks out of place but thats just me. Otherwise I love the paint, wheels, stance, etc. Looks really good.

Yeah Thanks if fact i first started driving in a VW Bug. I wasnt easy but i was able to learn.
I know this is not a thirdgen camaro but he is a picture of my bug that i am currently working on. My friend and i are gonna strip it and paint it flat black. Hopefully it works to our favor we notice today a few rust spots.
It is kinda fun starting the engine in my bug and waking up the whole block as it is warming up

Re: My 84 Camaro

Here are a few things i been doing to my camaro over these few days.

we reomve the whole rear carpet to find out that i had rust in my trunk. i had some help some a few friends, we were able to remove the rust. my freind spray some things that made it seen like nothing happen which was preety cool, and no it was not paint (dont want to sound bad)

i was able to buy a 145mhp speedo from a fellow member here on TGO. i am thinking of having it install by the end of this weekend. i just dont like the dummy lights anymore and plus my current speedo go to only 85mph. it is time to upgrade to 145

here is a picture of the speedo and also a picture of my friends camaros
the green camaro on the left is a 89 iroc that we are working on. my friend is repainting the whole front end to make it look alittle better. the middle one is a 89 RS that we just bought about a month ago. we were able to get it for $1150 which was not bad, so we think. then my camaro is on the right side. all of our cars are V8 power
i will post more info on my friends car currently they dont have internet
i will be updating later on the progress on our cars

Re: My 84 Camaro

Helo Everyone
Here are a few updates on my camaro that i have done
I have not had time to work on my camaro due to the werid weather here in cali so i have to wait.
Also i was about to get a few things from a fellow member
1. a 350 Long Block that he was selling. I didnt expected to get it it just happen. I talked with a fellow friend of mine to rebuild it and he will do the work for me. So by the time he will install it it will be ready just to install and run.
2. I got a T5 convertion that my father got me. I was thinking of staying with auto but he doesnt want me to worry anymore about the trannny leaking due to a bad seal (he gets angry at that). I will be putting in the T5 when i do the engine swap.
3. And finally i got a set of Edelbrock TES headers with Y pipe, they are ceramic coated. I got them use but they were never on a running car.
I cant wait to see how everything turns out.
More updates to come
Here is a pic of the 350
more picture to come
Thanks
