puma im in high school i can't afford alot of stuff since i go to school everyday. i have a rust free 1987 nissan 300zx i bought that was side swiped and im in the process of fixing it to resell it for a profit. I can't really afford the title because me and my dad have tons of projects going including a 1985 corvette, 1969 camaro,1993 caprice,1991 caprice that nissan 300zx and my trans am. I also have dibs on a 1989 rs camaro roller if the guy decides to sell it. Does it look like i can afford a $350 title right now?

Also some people don't understand you have to sacrifice cars to have parts. Cars with bad titles and no titles should be parted out. IF they have rotted floors etc.....
marokid some advice don't have to many parts cars in your yard at once. My dad had a couple 68 maro's in are yard and he got turned in for "non-operable" vehicles or something like that. They ended up hauling 2 camaros off and they got crushed. He also had to sell 1 mint condition 1979 monte and another project 79 monte. Another thing too if marokid didn't save the cars for parts they would ended up being crushed and wasted. so i would thank marokid for saving cars and providing parts.

Some simple car covers can save a lot of hassle, out of site, out of mind. I know around here a car cover is enough to keep the "inoperable/non-plated" rules at bay.

EXACTLY!!! The next door neighbor was the one who did it! We couldn't put them in the garage because my dad had a 85 corvette and a 69 z-28 in the garage.

Again, prioritize.
Also, junky cars in the driveway, regardless of what they are or are worth, ARE an eyesore to the neighborhood. I'd almost say a car with a cover over it is more of an eyesore than the car itself. I personally wouldn't report it, but I can see where people would get tired of looking at it, just like looking at someone's old crappy boat sitting in the driveway, or some ratty RV on flat tires with pieces of firewood behind the wheels.

Sorry to break the news to you...but you're not sitting on a gold mine.
Nice Thirdgens make up about 1% of the total produced over ten years.
Ultra low mileage originals on here have a hard time getting over 10 grand today.
In 20 years, they'll be lucky to get 5 grand.
Rusted out shells of a 69 have sold for more than a rust free Thirdgen. You won't EVER be able to say that about any of these cars vs. any other car in the future period.
They're not even in the same stratosphere as a musclecar, now...or ever.

Show me one mint, original, sub-25k mile car that is selling or has sold in 2011 for less than $10k. Let's see what you got.

Anniversary cars won't be worth anything more than a non-anniversary car; if there's one thing history has told us, it's that bogus sticker and stripe appearance packages don't increase value. If it's not a performance package, it adds nothing.

In fact, the high prices of muscle cars will naturally lead to an increase in the price of these cars. As more people get priced out of the muscle car market, those people will look for other cars to buy and these cars will increase in popularity and price will rise. Also, as more and more of the rougher cars are srapped or parted out the values of the surviving cars will continue to rise. That's just the simple principle of supply and demand.
If you want to deny these cars will ever increase in value that's fine but you're totally ignoring the history of the collector car market. Twenty five years ago people said muscle cars would never be worth anything. In the late 80's high school parking lots were loaded with muscle cars that kids picked up for a few hundred dollars. Today, it's the 80's cars that the young kids are buying for cheap. However, it won't be much longer until most of the rougher thirdgens are gone and all that will be left is the nicer cars leaving a lot of people priced out of the thirdgen market.
The writing's already on the wall and it should be obvious to just about anybody who understands the collector car market that these cars will definitely increase in value. The fact that nice cars are ALREADY increasing should make it even more obvious.
Why don't you check back with me in twenty years and we'll see who's right?
