Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
Sounds pretty promising. I'm actually thinking about getting rid of my 87 and getting a 91 or 92. I haven't decided yet.

Camaros with no ground effects have grown on me. I've always said that if i got another one I'd go for a sleeper look with no GFX and a sport coupe hood.

Yes. It has the Intrax 2" lowering springs but I don't think it's lowered a full 2". Tough to say without a direct comparison.
You can see the springs in these two other pictures.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
They're 4th gen or the so called LS1 front brakes. I say so called because as I understand it, all 4th gen came with these brakes.

Close, only the LS1 cars (98-02) got that style front brake. The LT1 cars (93-97) have a smaller rotor and single piston calipers. Not nearly as good for performance and not worth the time to swap.
Here's one I just picked up. No where close to as nice as the others posted, but still a naked car.

Here are a couple that come to mind. Both very nice non gfx cars.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
I stand corrected. What I meant to say was it's the LS era 4th gens that all received the big brakes. The 98-02 as you've pointed out. That is the V6 and the V8 has the "LS" brakes. (Right?)

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
Correct. Ls1 era (98-02) got the bigger, better brakes. Regardless of power plant. Makes finding parts an easy task.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
This is my friends, friends, son's car. LOL.
It's got a carb'd 350. all new paint, weatherstripping and interior..
The paint is the factory color but has ghost flames painted in it.
These are the only pics I have of it, sorry not the best.
The pics are from the day his parents gave him the car as a graduation present.
They took it to his school, moved his truck and parked the car where his truck was and waited
for him to come out while they hid and watched. I was there and it was pretty cool.

Here is my old camaro, it was a factory freak and hauled *** for what it was. Wasted many an unsuspecting 5.0 with this car.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
I wish I could tell you but I bought the car this way. The previous owner was into road racing. He also was meticulous about keeping records. I found a notebook the chronicled the cars history, even gas stops. It was really cool to read. I had to sell the car way back in '02 so I dont remember that parts that were put on the car. I always had people asking me if it had a v8 in it lol
Then one day sitting at a red light it just went dead, like I turned the key off. Had it towed home but could never figure out what was wrong with it. Ended up being forced to sell it due to personal issues. I still miss it.
Heres a couple more.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
Does anyone know of someone that has filled in the three slots on the front bumper? My sport coupe is growing on me except for those. I thought it wouldn't look too bad.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
This was an '82 SC that had a berlinetta nose on it. Ran mid 9's with a 292ci with a stick.
Here is one that I bought last summer, drove it a little and decided it needed more motor.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
I'm looking for the same thing. I like the muscle car/no ground effects look. But don't like the void the sport coupe front bumpers make(see photo).
What options do we have for front bumpers that look good with no ground effects on the rest of the car. Lets see your pics.

Re: POST PICS OF YOUR NON GFX 3RD GENS
I like what this guy did. Put a 82-84 z/28 chin spoiler on a 85-87 sport coupe bumper. Wish I could see this without the ground effects under the doors.
