Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
I'd be very interested if it is made like stock enough to mount my 91-92 Z28 blisters to it.

I'm not trying to be a jerk or belittling your goal or Hawks but sorry $480.00 + tax + shipping does not sound like much of a deal. Here's another option. A steal hood in that style is offered from Summit Racing . Price + $10.00 handling fee and a oversize fee of $10.00. Thats it. No shipping charge, and in some states no tax .Here's link and I believe the second one down is the hood your talking about.

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
Hawks makes a great hood but the OP said he had been looking for the right hood and I thought he may have over looked a steel option.
Side note = I'm cleaning up my reply because I may have come on a little strong and apologize to the OP.

I have to agree with this is a way. I have seen the hood at summit and it's not bad at all, just have to bolt your louvers or blister on after paint. I live close so that hood would be $199.00 plus tax for me. A glass hood would still be very cool IMO.

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
I think you guys are missing the point. Personally, I too believe a steel hood is the best fit/quality overall, BUT this is a fiberglass version of the IROC hood, which, to my knowledge has not been produced other than a few one-offs, if that. I know in the past there was a good bit of interest in an IROC/Z28 version of the fiberglass hood, but no one offered it.
I would hope it would be well enough made to accept blisters and louvers

This is a really good idea. I can't believe no one has made a fiberglass IROC/Z28 hood

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
does this mean a CF hood could be a possibility?
i know the CF z28 hood has been produced before but only one(?) or a handful were actually made, the price is about dead on what you would pay for a bolt on fiberglass hood from any company so i don't see a problem with that

im looking at $12 handling and $89 for shipping, about $300 for a steel iroc reproduction, its not terrible, but fiberglass hoods are always more expensive than a steel hood, I need one for my new Iroc so its gonna be a toss up between throwing my cirvini cowl on it until i can get a replacement, buying a steel replacement, or a fiberglass pending hawks making them

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
its a shame, but look what happens with the dash pads and other harder to find parts that are reproduced, they make them and try to recoup their money as fast as possible, meaning charging about 3-4x over what you can find a good condition used piece in, that's what destroys the hopes of having parts reproduced for these cars, once the good condition used stuff disappears is when you will see more people willing to spend more money on reproduction parts.
i still don't think it was offered at a bad price, just not enough demand because you can walk into a yard and get a z hood for $50(remember i'm on the side of BUT ITS FIBERGLASS lol)

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
i would not have hawks third gen make a hood for my lawn mower! i recently purchased their ss style hood for my 96 and it's the worst hood i have ever seen in my life. it does not fit no matter how it is adjusted even though they guaranteed an exact fit with no mods. I ended up having to use hood pins just to get it to partially line up with the fenders and had to move the center of my front bumper out to have it line up. so yea i hope this helps you to decided if you want to purchase something from them because they are crooks he does not care about customers or customer service because once you hand the money over they dont give a crap what happens!

Re: hawks fiberglass iroc hood!
This seems pretty cool.
Hawks and Thirdgen Ranch may be expensive but they offer good quality parts also thirdgens are not new anymore they are kinda old so prices for any parts especially something like this are only going to get higher
