Hey guys recently acquired my first 3rd gen project. I have owned a 4th gen but have always wanted a 3rd. The car needs a lot of work but I'm looking forward to getting her back on the road. She's a 92 z28 305, power everything, and t tops.
Good news everyone, she's alive. Had to cut and patch a pinched fuel line but the performance exhaust on this 305 is sounding good. The only issue now is that she's only wanting to fire if I step on the gas.... If I turn the key with no throttle she will fire two or three times then go back to cranking. Anyone have any ideas on this? Possible carbon buildup or junk in the injectors?
Looks like a very solid beginning! What are your plans powertrain wise?
Haven't really gotten that far yet. I've been so worried about getting it to run that I haven't thought about it. A buddy is recommending a turbo 350 tranny
OK so here's an update. Had to change the CTS and the distributor cap and rotor and she's running good. The cluster is going crazy and I think the TV cable may be out of whack. Still need to get a tps but she's running strong. Pulled the nose off to find the passenger bumper bracket is crushed so I'm trying to get it straight again. Looking for suggestions on seats
If you can spend the money and time I suggest using lethalinteriors.com She does amazing work and the install wasn't super hard just time consuming. I would suggest buying the new foam for the seats. Nothing like having brand new seats in your third gen with a custom touch.
