Fiber Optic Center Bird

Guessing that this is the right place to post this, if not feel free to move.

Ok, here is a thought and I was wondering what people think.
You know what that center bird between the rear taillights on a firebird is.

I pondered what it would look like if fiber optics were added to it, in the colors of yellow, red, orange so that when turned on, the edges look like they are on fire.
In the picture in my head, the colors would change around end edges giving the appears of flame. Kind of like many other fiber optic things do now, where the light changes color.
Hard to convey the image exactly, but I hope I did a good enough job so that you can get the general idea.

So what do you think? I am sure there is distraction laws that would prevent it from being on all the time, but other than that, appearance wise, what do you think?

Re: Fiber Optic Center Bird

Would fiber optic would you use? A tiny strip to outline it?

Re: Fiber Optic Center Bird

I was thinking a couple of rows of tiny holes drilled through the plastic and that follow the border of the wings. Then stick the fiber optic through so that the tip is flush mounted with the plastics surface. Ideally when the fiber optics are turned off, it would look very similar to the original, but when turned on, would add like a flame effect to the edges of the wings. Would most likely be hard to notice in the daytime but at night would show up.
