My 91 Formula Project
I bought this bird for 900 dollars 1200 if you want to include the 300 extra I spent replacing fuel pump and some sensors and what not. My plan is to make this car a project I can work on and use as my DD. The interior is in solid condition just need a few things like the missing console lid but I will post with pics and info as I do this project. I am always interested in hearing suggestions and opinions.

Re: My 91 Formula Project
It doeesnt appear to be a formula, but a good project none the less. Its missing the 16s powerbulge hood and aero spoiler and suspension to be a formula. Either way enjoy, its always nice to have a solid starting point with a car.

Re: My 91 Formula Project
VIN does not specify whether or not the car is a Firebird or Formula. But the car does look like a good base for a project

Factory 5.0L TBI (305 cid) car. There were some Formulas that came with that engine. But with the wheels and rear spoiler, it looks like its a Firebird not a Formula. Sorry!
Does it still have the sticker in the glove box?

Re: My 91 Formula Project
I would have to agree that this looks like a nice project. Check mine out, it is basically finished other than maybe dropping in a 350...idk, I have had mine for a little over a year and it is looking sharp. I still have a long time to make it even better since i'm only 16 and have a ton more ideas about what to do with it. Anyway have fun with it.

Re: My 91 Formula Project
He does not have the correct hood spoiler wheels or decals saying it is a formula. I also don't see the passenger side dash emblem that says performance suspension denoting ws6 suspension which was standard on formulas.
Sorry it IS a cool car, BUT NOT a Formula. Just trying to clear things up.

Re: My 91 Formula Project
it will say "FBF" in the model column on your registration. you can look in my garage for some pics of my mods, just for FYI, my car does not have the performance suspension sticker either, mine is a formie, if you need more proof i will take a pic of the registration and insurance card, it is wrote on both specifically depicting the car as a formula. that being said mine is a 92 not a 91 but a doubt it makes a difference.

Re: My 91 Formula Project
Hopefully in the next month or so I will be painting it I am still deciding on color but I am leaning towards black. Also I may get carpet from stockinteriors.com I can get new carpet for the entire interior for less than 300 dollars. Shipped.
Any Ideas for colors for paint guys?

Re: My 91 Formula Project
hey bud, good show on picking up a nice 3rd. If money is of the essence here on your build, than shoot it black. Actually really, paint it whatever color you door jams are. you will save a lot of money. Suit yourself but just a little tip. But black or annodized blue would look pretty bad***

Anyone have a good way of cleaning rims? Mine have a couple years of dirt oil and grease built up on them.

Kill switch for the amp/subs system in the rear dont want a disturbing the peace ticket. So when a cop rolls by I kill em. I will be relocating it soon thinking about mounting it in the center console.
