some gta pics

well im starting to pay attention to outside detail.... i was wondering what do you guys think of my gta.... it has a 3inch fiberglass wing, 4th gen spoiler and nuffnuffz28's rims(my rims are currently getting done him by so they will be switched back..)... all i need outside wise is to get a paint job clean up the two pillars on the 4th gen wing and its done....

what do you guys think....

Re: some gta pics

I think there's a lot of potential. My comments:

>Panel alignment makes or breaks these cars for me. I hope you can get the cowl / headlights / nosecone all lined up.

>Cowl hood looks good (see comment below about wheels)

>Spoiler is not my cup of tea but with the right wheels I think it can be pulled off. Basically as it hangs off the rear deck so much and is quite curved - it looks quite tuner and needs some big, bad *** wheels to compliment it. E.g 18" + BBS style cross laces or deep dish 5-spokes. Those chrome SS/ ZR1's are heading in the direction I mean.

>I think the GTA crosslaces may not work with the look - (wild spoiler + cowl)

>Ride height looks good. But depending on wheel choice maybe a further inch. would help with the purposeful tuner look

>With a shiney new paint job - things like those rear lights will stick out. I'd go 91-92 (T/A GTA) but with budget in mind, some clean stock 85+ trans am lenses with a gold GTA centre bird

>tints look good. A little more than subtle, but still tasteful < I like!

Re: some gta pics

The cool hood on the third gens isn't good to my liking, would rather have the stock one or the ram air dual scoop hood they look like they belong the cowl doesn't. And the ZR1 style wheels would look better if the car was Black imo I like black better with Chrome ZR1 wheels

Re: some gta pics

The 4th gen spoiler I do like its a rarity on third gen and should only be used on suped up third gen f body, but if the hood is going to be black then so should the spoiler to match it.

Re: some gta pics

yea the alignment is alittle messed up...some guy hit my drivers side fender and thats why it looks like that... i have a new fender at the house but im going to wait until i get it painted to put the new fender on there..

i really like the 4th gen wing and imo it looks better than the factory wing.the wing really isnt even that big...i think and many others on here like the look. it gives it a aggressive pro mod like stance to it... my dad is all about stock (he has a all stock 91 l98 vette) and he loves the wing compared to the stock areo wing i had. there is nothing rice at all on this car.... to each their own on that one..

i think that the black cross lace rims would look very good on my car when i lower it even more... im going for a red/black combo...

the taillights are mint and were tinted right... they car has a horrible paint job and my camera phone doesnt really capture the whole car like i want it to..

Re: some gta pics

I never like a 4th gen spoiler and I usually hate cowl hoods on firebirds (unless the motor just won't fit without it).

BUT that first picture you posted looks great. I think the Cowl hood and the spoiler work together to change the overall lines. It would look goofy if you took away one and left the other. If you could close those gaps and line up the panels, I think it looks just right.

My only gripe is the nubs under the spoiler where the rear deck curves up on a 4th gen and meets them. If you extended those down to the decklid it'd look 1000% better from he rear.

Re: some gta pics

I'm not a fan of the spolier, but love the hood. Overall the car is a cool looking car right now and when done will look great. I sure would love to have that drivetrain in my TA.
