2014 Trans Am Nationals

Anyone getting ready? We are almost a month away!

I've been working hard on getting my car ready with replacing the motor. I'll be in the 82-92 Custom category again this year. I've also been helping a friend get her 85 T/A ready. It has a 96 LT1/T56 swap done and we pulled the motor this year to clean things up, replace a leaky front crank seal, and a cam and head swap.

Busy, busy, busy! Hope to see a bunch of you guys and gals there!

I'll be there. Not showing but will have the GTA at Tipp City. Stop by and say hello, we'll have a red 88 GTA hardtop with Ronals there. Look forward to meeting you.

Did you have your car at the Quick and Lube restaurant last year? Think I remember it.

The third gen numbers this year at the Nats were high. Most that I have seen in the 5 yrs I've attended.
It didnt work out for me this year to take any of my cars, so I had a lot of time to take pictures. Here's the link for those interested in seeing what showed up.

I didn't have my car there last year as that is the weekend that the motor spun a rod bearing.

I went this year but I didn't have my car. I didn't get the heads and I didn't want to install something else just to have to rip it apart again for it to be right.

Friends cars that were there:

85 T/A, Black with Gold gfx, LT1 motor, Heavy custom
82 T/A, Burgundy candy apple red, L98 motor, Heavy custom winner circle
99 T/A, NBM Firehawk, Modified Firehawk
96 T/A , Arctic white, Heavy Mod
97 bird, Black, Heavy Mod winner circle

We worked on the 85 getting the motor finished up till Saturday 6 days before the show and it went to Cincy Speed that monday for a dyno tune and rearend work. Got it back on Friday the day of the show. loaded the cars up and went straight to the show.

Kymmee awesome pics! Thanks for sharing.

Just curious, how many 5 speed cars did you see there?

The two white formula's were hardtops, but autos. The yellow 87 was a 305 auto, the black formy with the Ronals was a 350 and a stick but a modded car in one of the custom classes. I dont recall seeing any stock Fomula 5 speeds but I may have missed a few. There were a lot of third gens there.

Glad everyone is enjoying the pictues!

The Black T/A in Heavy Custom was a 6-speed car. The motor, trans and interior all came out of her 96 Trans Am that got totaled.
