whats the best tbi mods for the buck
i want to make my car faster than an Lt1 because all my freinds have 94-97 z28 and ta's and i want my slow 305 to take them i was wondering what best mods where i was thinking of headers i already have flows no cat and air filter b and m shifter ect i was thinking of puttin 100 shot nos in but scared moter will blow any good suggestions other that blowers will be greatly appreciated sorry so long thanks

Think of it like this.
Your engine: 170hp
Their engines: 285hp
Difference: 115hp
So you have a ways to go. I guess if you did, exaust,headers,heads,cam,intake,670tb,little tbi mods (element,spacer,etc.), custom chip,gears,posi. Then you would be able to beat them. But I just listed a whole engine makeover so you have to think if it is worth it or not?

Remember this too. That is to beat their stock LT1's. If they throw on gears or headers or exaust you would be lost. So while they have lots of room for improvement, you will have none.
If I was you, do exaust,headers, little tbi mods like open element,spacer,pullies and a chip and learn how to work with engines. Then upgrade to a 350 or higher (383,400) and then you will LOTS of fun and have room for improvment just like them but MORE POWER to start out with. Kinda get what I am sayin?
