305 TBI TO 350 CARB OR TBI
So, another motor swap question.
I'm getting a 350 from a buddy of mine that needs to be rebuilt. It's from and old chevy blazer and it is a carbed motor. I am putting it into a 92 Camaro RS. it has the chip in the key to. What all would I need to do to swap this motor out and leave it carbed. Is it easier leaving it carbed or to just swap the motor and put a tbi on it?

If I keep my tbi system, will it bolt up to my 350? I know I will have to change the injectors and probably get a 350 computer and all the electrical goodies

Your TBI manifold is made to fit centerbolt heads so there a knock against using the TBI right off the bat unless you want to find some centerbolt heads. Picking up a set of used ones shouldnt be hard they made hundreds of thousands of em from 187 58cc castings, 76cc 193 castings , 64 cc 083 castings(which are pretty good heads) on up to the cream of the crop 64cc Vortec castings but then you will need to get a vortec specific manifold for the TBI. I may would just go carb but theres definitely pros and cons for both.

I suppose I should have looked at this before asking what I asked you about keeping the stock stuff after the chip haha. Like the esc and knock sensor. I knew about the injectors tho. But wasn't too sure on the ecm. I appreciate it a lot. Thanks for the info
