Calling all VA third gen owners

Do we have a VA Third Gen club? If so, how many are interested in having one or having a meet or something. My wife came up with the idea of all of us third gen guys cruising the parkway or doing something like the Hot Rod Power Tour except going through only VA. Let me know what you guys think and we'll see if we can get the ball rolling. No cost, or a limited cost? Please share your ideas and if I get enough input, we can do something

i owuld lov to join a camaro club. theres a few of us around the noke area, and on the weekends its a big deal to crusie up and down a huge main road called willison(sp). but that would be a very good area to hold a meet or, lots of ppl, far amount of camaros and other cars to talk bout. and then for those who like to prove ur car on the street theres those kinda meets to.

My car should be done by next week, tomorrow my friend is coming to put the supercharger on the motor, then thursday my transmission comes in and we put everything back in the car. So maybe we should get some Halloween cruise or something near the end of the month.

Re: Calling all VA third gen owners

The road is actually called Wiliamson Rd. And there is no truth to the looking for a race with more than 4 trips in one hour. The police can't ASSUME anything just because you are driving. And as a note, Williamson Rd has been demolished by the asphalt company doing the repaving there...It is horribly rough and there are only two lanes...Not the usual 4. Hopefully they get the paving finished soon, but it is hard to tell.

Re: Calling all VA third gen owners

Alright guys, I have return to this post. Been transitioning back from Iraq and preparing to leave the military on the 21st of December. Let me reply to some of these posts while I got a few minutes.

I look to be setting a date and time in the near future. I'm looking for the first weekend in March if thats alright with you guys.

I want this to be an F-Body club. I love Firebirds as much as Camaros. I would like to leave the 1st gens out of this due to the fact that not all of us have trust funds, or rich grandparents that can buy us just the rusted shell of one. I want to meet hard working, blue collar folks.

Timothayyyy, what kind of help are you looking for? Mechanical help? Or just kidding for some money? I'm willing to help out anyone that is just as willing to help me.

92vertz28, Your best bet for that bracket is the junkyard. I might have one, or can obtain you one, but you need to reply to me quickly so I can get in touch with my contact in Nashville before I leave Ft. Campbell on the 21 of December. Also, I hope you are well aware of what you are holding onto. 92 Z28 convertibles are pretty rare. Only 1,254 of them made.

ricka11, thats a kinda long haul from Northern VA just to cruise around.

Justin 89 Formy, get in contact with me at thecaminator@yahoo.com to make arrangements for a F-Body meet. I'd like to meet up with you and discuss the possibly of making the Club a reality.

Not everybody drives Williamson Rd. I'm thinking during the day so people can bring families out and have a good time. I'm going to call a few people, try to scope out a spot for us to be seen and heard. I'm calling it right now guys and gals, Western VA F-Body Association. Welcome. Please e-mail me at thecaminator@yahoo.com so we can get our first meet together. I don't care what city or town you come from, please e-mail me. Alright, I will sit back and wait for my replies.

Ive got my car running now and have been driving it around. Has a few issues going on with it, and I need to check the valve lift. If you wanted to help me out, id be more then willing to help you out on your ride. Im just trying to get my ride all ready for when the strips open back up.

A club would be great, as would doing a cruise. Im 100% interested.

I'm in as well....Just got the Vert buttoned up....The best thing to do would probably be to meet at the MDA Car Show in March....That way we could all get together at the same time and talk it all out....

Re: Calling all VA third gen owners

Since we are in need of a localized location, the Bedford Wal-Mart sounds like a great meeting spot. From there we can decide wether Roanoke or Lynchburg is the better choice for the evening. I'm looking at Jan. 17 at 4PM at the Bedford Wal-Mart. Hit me back so we can make some more concrete plans. How does that sound?

Re: Calling all VA third gen owners

contact me if you are interested in a car club. I have 15 or 20 names and numbers of F-body owners. We got together a few times this past summer for the Cruze in in Bedford and Lynchburg. The more the merrier. We had an awsome convoy coming down 460 one Saturday out of Lynchburg

and 92vertz28, I think I have your A/C braket if you still need it

Re: Calling all VA third gen owners

I've been out of it for a while, is this really gonna happen? Are 4th gens welcome? If the answers are yes, I'm in. Are we meeting at the Bonsack Wal-Mart or Williamson? I know a manager at the Bonsack Wal-Mart who has an Iron Duke and an LS1, I know he'd be down.
