Howdy. I'm Brandon, from Lenexa KS. My 84 Trans Am is definitely still a work in progress right now. It is at my friend's garage, where we should be doing the exhaust, SFC's, steering linkage, and front brakes pretty soon.
Sucks about the head gasket. Sounds like an ideal time to drop a 350 crate motor in. I will be removing my 305 eventually, but not for 12 months or so.
I would love to see some bad-*** third gens. I have seen a few around town, but not many. There is a black GTA in dynamite condition though close to where I live.

I'm getting ready to pull the 305 out of my 84 Trans Am. All the exhaust and steering linkage are off the car, and as soon as the motor is out, the engine compartment is getting a thorough cleaning and a fresh coat of paint.
Unfortunately it won't be driveable for nine months, probably.

i live in wichita i have a 89 rs camaro its pretty sweet i just put my 350 in last night so excited to get it done i also have a 1985 iroc z28 camaro im pulling the 305 out after i get the 89 done and then its getting a 550 horse 350 love third gens there sweet to drive
Hello from Knob Noster, down by Whiteman AFB. I have a 1991 Camaro Z28 convertible. I also have a 1988 Camaro SC that I was going to restore, but I'm looking at getting either a Trans Am or Formula shell to restore instead. I was at Camaro Fest last year; I had the black 91 vert they have some pics on the camaro club of kc's page. it was a good show.

I've been wondering if there are ever any 3rd gen get togethers around here in the KCMO area. I live in southern olathe. '92 Teal RS Stock 235,000 miles all original and still goin strong.
the rear end problem was my fault i put a posi in my car wit the same gear ratio but i didnt change ring gears and the new ring gear didnt agree with my pinion and it knocked and howled and broke a tooth of but shes back together now and queit again except she likes to slide sideways and shell do donuts now lol

Hey I'm relatively new to the F-body scene but I've been around here for awhile. I'm from Harrisonville.. I have a 1985 Firebird.. it has a 2.8mpfi V6 that has 2 rods knockin pretty bad.. looking around right now for a 350 to drop in it...
i just moved back to the city from clinton and now im gettin rid of my rs and upgrade to a z and here in the next month or so ill hopefully be puttin in my lt1
